Founded in 2009, QKE works with industry, government and Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDCs) to enable mission-critical, end-to-end operational solutions tailored to meet the needs of the national security and oil and gas industries. With access to a wide range of, industry, academic, FFRDC, national laboratory, government and industry contacts, we identify promising unmanned systems, robotics and mechatronics technologies and employ our technology insertion methods to get them into the hands of our customers within months. QKE provides a wide range of expertise supporting Full Spectrum Unmanned/Autonomous Systems Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation (RDT&E) and enabling activities; full spectrum means across all Unmanned Systems Domains (Air, Land, Sea Surface, Undersea, and Space) and throughout all phases of development and acquisition.
With our deep understanding of the diverse systems engineering and systems integration processes of both, the DOD and Intelligence Communities and the Oil and Gas Industry, QKE can help translate user needs in the field to and from technology specialists in R&D in the office or laboratory.
QKE personnel have researched, architected and presented an unmanned remote delivery systems concept involving emerging robotic, mechatronic, and sensor technologies, which addressed joint customers’ mission requirements. End product deliverables were a mission needs statement, capabilities based assessment, user requirements, system requirements and CONOPS documents. Concentrating on high technology R&D and the rapid development of concepts into proven products and services, we are currently developing multiple concepts, using emerging technology, which leads in providing advanced robotic solutions covering: designated robotic solutions, advanced add-on payloads and sensors, innovative concepts for man-robot interactions, autonomous robotic missions and simple and unique robotic designs. QKE’s current technology identification, assessment and insertion efforts are focused in robotics, mechatronics, and sensors (examples: electro-optical, ground penetrating radar, laser). QKE is exploring unmanned systems applications to include a complete set of robotic solutions for military, reconnaissance, security and first responder applications.
